Astrological& Mythological Aspects
Now as we know about Sun & Moon both are very crucial
planets and along with worldly pleasures, also give spiritual pleasures and
Moon is also known as the mother of whole creation this is because, Moon
reflects, the harsh light received from sun, on earth that are auspicious, mild
and have motherly affection with which the life on earth survives and is
nurtured with a motherly affection
All the medicines present are based on Moon That's
right...all the seeds are a representation of Moon and, if all the medicines
comes under the jurisprudence of Moon, so does all the Vaidya ( Medical
practitioners) too...but here I would like to mention one thing that , the Moon
that is seated on the head of Lord Shiva...and is a representation of all the
medicines all the medicines have generated from the Moon still, Moon itself has
suffered from disease of 'Decay' i.e. waning and waxing Moon
Shiva |
Mythological Aspect & Mahamrityunjaya Mantra
so there's a story behind it King Daksh Prajapati married
his 27 daughters (also known as 27 Nakshatras (or star constellations)) to the
Moon but Moon was most fond of 'Rohini' (one of the 27 nakshatras)so, the other
26 daughters felt neglected and went to their father complaining about the same
King Daksh Prajapati intervened and first of all, tried to deal amicably but
when Moon didn't listen to him either then, Daksh gave Moon a curse.
Though Moon represents all the medicines, though it sits on
the Lord Shiva's head still, Moon had to suffer the outcome of the sin &
the curse thereof that after curse, Moon fell down from the sky and asks for
forgiveness Moon says that please forgive me, I have made a mistake but once
the curse has been given our Rishis (Sages) have mentioned that to nullify the
curse, if Mahamrityunjay Mantra is being recited for around 1 crore or 5 crore
(I don't exactly remember the count...) Moon, can come back to life
Then, all the Rishis came together to recite 'Mahamrityunjay
Mantra' and thus reestablished Moon back to its position. Hence, the
repercussions of misfortune has to be borne by everybody even if it is the Moon
itself.
My Conclusions
So, I believe that one should live a virtuous life and never
do such an act so that one has to suffer any ill effects thereof. But even
after the recitation of Mantras, the Moon keeps waxing and waning another thing
in our Vedas is that the Moon has been worshiped in the form of Som (i.e.
Nectar).Moon has this one unique quality.. that if it is Nectar then at the
same time is also considered as a poison
Moon Astrology |
Moon
In astrology, if it is a full Moon, it is considered
auspicious but, if the native is born on or around new moon, then it is
considered inauspicious
Normally, it is said that if the native is born on New moon
then it is inauspicious and there are remedies for it the birth on Full moon is
considered auspicious.
But if we see the final result...suppose, in the horoscopes
of some westerners' horoscope...many big personalities have taken birth on New
Moon
so, how can we explain this? Yes, that is true..
it is like ... when Moon is aspected by Jupiter or is in
strong position in a horoscope then the native is inclined towards helping
others he/ she would do good for others, now ...helping others is not easy an
task to take out money from one's own pocket and putting it into others' is a
very difficult thing But donation is done only by the one who is compassionate
enough
The one who sees that another person is in pain, understands
it, feels it and empathise with him and
thus donates.
This is one of my experiences, that I would like to share
with you... and answer your question too when the Moon is strong then the
native has a feeling of compassion and when the Moon is weak, the feel of
compassion is less, and as per my research...such a native will take short cuts
in life to achieve something or will not help others in the journey of life (provided
other combinations and "Yogas' in the horoscope supports it too) And many
times we get stuck while helping others
So, the person who takes his family, friends, country all
along will not be able to grow or will take more time doing so...Though he will
get the respect.

Some points of understanding as per Horoscope Chart
Now point is this to that natives with weak Moon are rather
more successful in life..Really?
Yes it is a fact!
Natives with weak Moon are more successful in life than the
So, does weak Moon mean afflicted?
No, not afflicted. By weak Moon is meant when it is nearby
Sun in a horoscope.
When it is away from Sun, then it is strong.
So, the native born
on or near to New Moon are more successful
So, what's the logic behind it?
Logic is same as I have stated before...
but if there are other such combinations in the chart
suggest the same, then such a native thinks of himself and thus grows in life
very fast..but can not sustain it for longer
So, if Moon is strong it nourishes. Being a Mother, it
nourishes all. like how a Mother nourishes her children bearing all the
pain.but a weak Moon (decline in Motherly affection) will tend to not bother
about others' nourishment. SO, when a native with strong Moon takes care of
others more, then it is obvious to have trouble themselves.
Now. when Jupiter is 1 /4/ 7/ 10 (Quadrant) from Moon then
it forms 'Gajkesari Yoga', which according to me is the biggest 'Rajyoga' for
success.
But one thingI have observed is, that when Moon is aspected
by Jupiter, although it forms a partial 'Gajkesari Yoga' still, the native has
the ability to take everybody along and help them. hence, the nourishing
quality of a mother comes on its own to a strong Moon.
Although, in Astrology and other 'Shastras', Moon is
considered a Male but due to its nourishing nature it is also termed as a
'Mother'.
Moon is also considered as 'Vaishya' or trader. the one who
is engaged in trade and commerce. That again is a work of nourishing
others.Whatever aspect you see of Moon are all of nourishing others like Sun,
if Moon hasan auspicious planet in 2nd House from it (other than Sun) , it is
called 'SUNPHA YOG'and if there's an auspicious planet in 12th House from Moon
it is called 'ANPHA YOG' and if both the above conditions meet, it is called
'DURUDHARA YOG'
so, the Moon's resultswith regards to materialism are
manifested with the help of other planets. Moon needs support
Yes, as Sun needs support for the manifestation of worldly
pleasures and material gains, so does moon. This is because Sun and Moon are
spiritual planets. They give results with the help of other planets.
This becomes specially important in the case of Moon.It is
not that Moon sitting alone (no planets in 12th and 2nd from it) will be
weak..but, in the present day and age, people's emphasis more on materialism hence,
so to give material gains Moon needs support of other planets
Like, there is a very common Yoga called 'ADHIYOGA"
found in most of the horoscopes. If a native is having this yoga, then it is
very auspicious. It gives lots of prosperity and wealth.
'ADHIYOGA' means, 6th 7th or 8th from Moon?
Yes, if benefic planets (Mercury, Jupiter or Venus) occupies
6th 7th or 8th house from Moon it is called ' ADHIYOGA"
But now if it is 6th or 8th from Moon then it also forms
'SAKAT YOGA' so, it is more auspicious if a planet is 7th from Moon. this is
because, planet sitting 6th from Moon will have a direct aspect on the 12th
from Moon if the planet is 8th from Moon then it will aspect 2nd from Moon. But,
if it is posited 7th from then it will have a direct aspect on Moon itself. Thus,
a benefic planet sitting 2nd / 12th /
6th / 7th / 8th from it will help Moon to manifest materialistic results in a
native's life.
Rahu Ketu and Shani with Moon
One more Important point...
If Moon has more than 3 benefic aspects ( except Rahu &
Ketu) then, it becomes very powerful
So, when you say more than 3 benefic aspects... then there
are only 3 benefic planets viz. Mercury,
Jupiter & Venus (leaving Moon)....We can also take, Saturn & Mars's
aspect but not Rahu & Ketu
So, what if they are
no planet 12th or 2nd from Moon? Then, it becomes a very inauspicious yoga
called 'KEMDHRUM YOGA"
So, we consider it a Yoga for poverty...That's right, it is
the yoga for poverty
So, when does this yoga cancels in a chart 'KEMDHRUM
YOGA" looses it's strength or almost cancels when there are benefic
planets (Mercury / Jupiter / Venus) are
posited 1st / 4th / 7th / 10th from Moon.It may not 100% cancels this yoga but
almost nullifies its effects.
One more observation...
When Moon & Jupiter are 6th & 8th from each other.....
Also, if other yogas in a horoscope are not good..like, lord
of income, lord of money, lord of lagna (1st house), or lord of 9th house are
not in a good position then, the native will get only half the result of his
efforts. Native may put in 100% efforts but the gains are not more than 50-60%
Like, when Jupiter is placed 6th or 8th from Moon then the
'SAKATA YOGA' is formed.
Along with it if other Yogas are also inauspicious, and
Lagna lord or / and 9th lord are also not well placed... so, in case all these
are not well placed then, the native hardly get 60% results of his efforts or
rather just 50% of it.
'SAKATA YOGA" if is not getting cancelled by any other
yoga in the horoscope....native doesn't get even 20 % results
Of course, depending on the different combinations in
different horoscope, the percentage would vary.
So, what is the logic behind the 'SAKATA YOGA'
Moon gives results of material world mainly through
Jupiter.and when Jupiter is placed in 6th or 8th house from Moon, then it can't
perform well in material world.Sun is the most powerful planet and then comes
Moon so, they don't need any strength...Still I would reiterate, that Moon
being a spiritual planet, can manifest good materialistic results only through
other benefic planets specially Jupiter.
So, now broadly speaking,
out of all 12 houses, which are the house where moon performs good.First
of all, like Sun, Moon is also a very powerful planet and wherever it is
placed, that house becomes Moon Lagna
Our sages have asked to look at the transits from the Moon. (or in context
with the Moon)
This is because Moon represents natives Mind and, Happiness
and sorrows both are the two state of Mind.
So, day to day transit of planets are seen from Moon.
This is where spirituality comes into picture, e.g. If in
spite of all the difficulties the native is happy, then he can be called a
Yogi. but if the native is an ordinary human, it is obvious to get troubled
with difficulties. This is why, Moon is also a Lagna. Thus we can say, if Moon
is in a good position, it gives auspicious results in all the houses except for
8th house.
Now a few points that I have observed about different
placements of are Moon...
Like in 6th house, being a benefic planet, enemy and
diseases will be strong. Still at the last moment the native will get some help
or blessings to overcome them all. Yes but if it is placed in 8th house, it can
not be considered good for health.
If Moon is placed in any of the quadrants (1st - 4th - 7th -
10th house), native thinks too much and thinks far ahead. So, the people who
thinks too much or thinks far ahead of time, somehow tend to get stressed. at
the same time, like Sun, Moon in quadrant also gives very good results.
Moreover, if a strong Moon is placed either in Lagna or 4th
house, it is extremely auspicious.
Moon gets directional strength in 4th house.Such a native
gets pleasures from one's mother, emotional, vehicle pleasure and like. As,
Moon is the significator of all kinds of pleasures and happiness.
Another point as per my research is, if Sun is placed 2nd
from Moon, the native is highly
philanthropist, they will go out of their way to help others.
Mahabhartha |
Moon In Mahabharta
Vidur ji (incarnation of Dhanraj Yama) in the epic
MAHABHARAT has stated that there are two types of people who goes beyond
heavens. One, who doesn't have enough still, donates Second, who is powerful still, forgives.
If somebody is poor still can donate and help others that
indicates he has some divine powers and if somebody despite being powerful is
kind enough to forgive then, he too possess some divine blessings. So, these
two kind of people are the one's who goes beyond the heavens.
So, how about Moon in 12 house?
If Moon is placed in 12th house alone, it is good but if
conjunct with some malefic like Ketu or Mars, it leads to distorted thinking or
mental issues.
One more story, I would like to share..This is again from
the era of Mahabharat. There were parents who were having food with their son
and daughter -in-law after seven days.Somehow they had managed to get some
grains and made 4 chapattis and there comes a man asking for food who had not
had anything since past 10 days. The master of the house thinks that they were
hungry for 7 days but the man that had come was hungry for past 10 days, thus
he is more in need of the food. He gives his chapatti to him.It could not
satisfy his hunger. The lady of the house gives her food to him. But the man
was still hungry. Then gave the son and finally daughter-in-law too gave her
food to that man. After this, his hunger was fully satisfied and he left. There
comes a mongoose and he walks over the left over of the food , that man had.So,
half of his body that moves over the left overs turns of gold. Mongoose was very
happy then. Now wherever there used to be some holy rituals performed, that
mongoose goes there hoping rest half it's body also, turns to gold.but it
didn't happen. (rest of mongooes body didn't turn to gold).
Yudhister was performing 'Rajsuya Yagya' (where 1000's of
people will be fed), mongoose goes there too hoping that at least there it will
completely turn to gold. still gets disappointed, and tells Yudhister that this
'Rajsuya Yagya' of yours is nothing as compared to the Yagya (virtuous deed) of
that family, who gave inspite of being hungry gave away their food to somebody
else.
so, if s person is given what he needs even without having
him asking for it, there's no bigger Dharma or Yagya then this. Tulsidas ji in
'Ramayana' has also mentioned that there is no bigger a dharma than helping
others.
Doing good deeds for others, without them knowing it.
Vais Vyas ji after writing all the 18 chapters of Bhagwat,
and Shastras, has stated that there no greater a deed then helping others. Give
and take is the principle of nature, which we all should follow. First you give
and then take. But we all find it very painful to give anything to anybody
Vidur ji has said that donation is given by only a person
who is compassionate. One who sees somebody in need and his heart melts. He is
then not bothered about what and how much he has or not.
As we have stated in the beginning, Moon is a spiritual
planet Normally, who study astrology in English consider only Jupiter and Ketu
for spirituality. But today we are discussing Moon and the context of
spirituality has come on its own. A thing that hurts me the most is that
astrologers generally suggests only chanting of mantras and performing certain
rituals. which can never fetch any results.
Karma !! Karma is everything. without which even God can not
give good results.
now, when does sadesaati happens.. when Saturn (Shani) is
transiting over Moon
The first remedy that I give is.. I ask that person to start
morning walk If you can't go for a morning walk then, better go for a evening
walk because, Saturn (Shani) is strong during night
there is no bigger remedy for Saturn (Shani) then this and
the way I observed was....my neighbor...
for example my neighbor doesn't believe in Astrology (Jyotish) But once, he
showed his horoscope (Kundali) to me and I see in the horoscope that, he is
going to suffer misery in recent future then I observed, this man goes on walk
daily
Saturn (Shani) represents legs in our body and when you
are putting your energy and efforts on
it so, you are making it strong Saturn (Shani) is becoming strong and positive so,
Saturn gets strength to give positive results this is the first remedy...
Second remedy is... 'Jaipur Foot' (an NGO) that is there in
Rajasthan what they do is... they manufacture prosthetic limbs of a very light
material. They have received several awards for it world over they have centers
in about 140-200 countries
I ask people suffering from Saturn's (Shani) sadesati to
donate to this NGO people gets prosthetic arm in 3000 bucks, legs in 5000 bucks
Moon gets exalted in 2nd house in the second house of
natural zodiac, it is exalted, right ?
Moon gets exalted in 2nd house of natural zodiac debilitated
in 8th house, ok..
so the sin that you commit relating to second and eight
house significations
Saturn will punish you for that Third result, is of the
natural house of Moon i.e. the 4th house, correct?
so the sins that one can commit related to 2nd house are...telling
lies, keeping someone else's money or hurting family members not fulfilling
responsibilities towards family
when one has Sadesaati, what problem does one faces???
problems pertaining to finances. one lacks finances to give
it to family members or nurture them native had escaped from those
responsibilities in previous life / lives but now he wants to fulfill them but
doesn't have enough money and thus facing issues .now, 8th house, is the house
of age, ailments and chronic diseases and your spouse's family during
sadesaati, your spouses' family will trouble you the most if your sadesaati is
bad.you are right, absolutely correct
basically... Moon is
the seed of past life karma in this life.now add your sins to it as Saturn is
the one that catches them to give the results of past life deeds. one more
thing, in sadesaati, one faces maximum
problem in service / job in job, because of 4th house...
4th house sins... related to
infidelity, cheating and fortune and it (4th house) becomes marak of
10th house of career and profession from 6th house it is 9th (house of Good
Luck (Bhagya)) i.e. the 2nd house (house
of money & wealth).so, if luck is good, then native will prosper or vice
versa ,so this is the problem one faces in the job / career during sadesaati ,8th
house from the house of business (i.e.
7th house), is 2nd that means... income from business
